Control Freak for Snare Drum Solo –
Murray Houllif - $5.00
This solo will be a challenge for all those practitioners of Geo. L. Stones’s
books- Stick Control & Accents & Rebounds, as well as Buster Bailey’s
Wrist Twisters. Ideal for high school solo competitions, college juries,
or rudimental percussion study.
The composer says- “This solo really shows off
and displays a drummer’s technique, control, finesse, speed, versatility,
etc. It should appeal to players who have worked on the rudiments, Moeller
stroking techniques, and even orchestrally trained drummers. Plus I
think it is just plain fun to play!” – M.H.
